John passed in Gainesville on October 27, 2024, following a long illness. John was born April 23, 1955, in Deland to John and Frances Kelly. He graduated from Deland High School and the University of Florida. He taught High School English. He played league and tournament softball and was a huge Gator fan. He moved back to Deland following his marriage to Robin in 2006.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Deleon Springs State Park on 10/25/20205 at 11:00 AM.

Very sad to learn of John’s passing. We went to school together since elementary school and we’re in the marching band together. A very gentle giant will be missed. I always look forward to see him at our Class reunions peace be with the family.
