Still, I plug on again the forces of evil & stupidity, not to mention cupidity becuase it's fun! I'm a mid-fiftyish academic (Ph.D. in History), associate professor at Christopher Newport Univ. in Newport News, Virginia. Born in Birmingham, England, spent childhood outside Montreal, and then Oklahoma. Have lived in rural Nebraska, which I hated, and Los Angeles, which I didn't.
