We are having a Living Memorial/Roast to celebrate the life and career of Mona Walker,a music/English teacher who's unique and positive attitude affected many along the way. We are trying to keep it a surprise. ALL ALUMNI ARE INVITED, including any DCH teachers. If you elect to come, please email me at c3ddonna at cox dot net. Also, please email me a high school photo and a short biography of the route life has taken you. (We are making a "this is your life" scrapbook for her). If anyone has a good pic of Mona,could you please email that to me,also. Does anyone know how I could contact her son? My phone is (four zero five)Two Two Seven - Six Six Three Zero. We will also set up a nice karaoke amp,(also serves as a great guitar amp) and professional mic and hope that some will display their talents. I think she would appreciate seeing her own student's talent rather than bringing in new talent. If anyone has a good picture of Mona, would you please email that to me. We also need a volunteer to bake a nice cake. It will be held on 8/8/09 at 2:00 pm at Don's Restaurant in Del City. (the location is tentative). I am asking for an RSVP by 7/14/09 so we can have a head count and make arrangements for the location. We're trying to keep costs down to a minimum. Since you can order and pay for your own food, most of the costs would be for advertising and decorations. Get your old Mona stories ready to share at the event.
