I believe I may have found a class ring from someone that graduated in '79 from De Anza High. I found it in front of my parents' house in Southern California back in the early-mid 80s but I was just a kid then and had no clue how to look up who the owner is. I just found it in my belongings again and after doing some searches stumbled across this site and your class ring search.
It looks like a ladies' ring style. The stone in front is emerald green so I would guess the person's birthday is in May. The stone has an emblem on it that says DHS, again the year is 1979, and it has the bust of a man on each side with DONS above it. It is a 10K gold ring and has the initials MCW engraved on the inside.
Unfortunately the ring is not in very good shape. It looks like it got run over by a car as it's bent almost flat and I found it like that in the street, so I'm assuming that's what happened.
I am nevertheless hoping and praying I can finally reunite this ring with its owner after so long. If you are the owner feel free to contact me directly, and if you know who you think it is please feel free to pass my contact information along. My name is Karen and you can email me at twitterpated2007@gmail.com.
I haven't found anyone's ring, but mine was stolen years ago and I've dreamed every so often over the years of finding some way of getting another one. It was unique and beautiful. Ours, the class of 1961, were purchased at Wolff and Ury Jewelers on Mac Donald Ave. in Richmond, Ca which I'm pretty sure is defunct now. If anyone can help me find another one I would sincerely appreciate it. Also, lost all of my yearbooks moving around so much when I first got married. I am interested in my Senior book too.
Sincerely,
Gwen (Wallis) Sanders
