79 & 80 High School Reunion
AS OF APRIL 13, 2010 - HERE'S THE UPDATE: NEW HOTELS AVAILABLE ALONG WITH LANI KAI. SEE BELOW! Our event will take place in the TIMES SQUARE AREA OF FORT MYERS BEACH. We will be on "island time" and "island casual wear" so come to the event comfortable and enjoy a tropical weekend! Here is the EVENT schedule as of right now:
FRIDAY, JUNE 25, 2010/7 PM to sunset or later: ROOFTOP AT THE LANI KAI RESORT! We will enjoy island music and entertainment provided by the Lani Kai as we watch the sunset along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. A cash bar will be available - so spend a lazy afternoon beachside with friends and classmates! Get reacquainted with old friends and make new ones, too! Door prizes throughout the night!
FRIDAY, JUNE 25, 2010/8:30 PM-1 AM - SABAL PALM ROOM AT THE LANI KAI RESORT! Dance the night away as we listen to songs from our "era" as DJ Mark Steele spins the tunes. We will even have a disco ball! Plenty of room to sit down, enjoy conversations with one another in the coolness of air conditioning! There will be a cash bar available. Door prizes throughout the night! This is a CLOSED party and will be available to 1979 & 1980 classmates and their guests.
SATURDAY, JUNE 26, 2010: A DAY ON YOUR OWN. However, there will be PLENTY of planned events at the Lani Kai Resort beach! There will be wave runners to rent, parasailing available, hula hoop contests, music, volleyball and many other venues! We will be posting other things to do in the area in case you would like to rent a boat, go on the "BIG M" casino boat, visit area restaurants or just stay poolside.
SATURDAY EVENING, JUNE 26, 2010 - BEGINNING AT 5:00 PM UNTIL ? - Why not enjoy dinner on the water of Nervous Nellie's? THE MOST DELICIOUS food and WOW! What a menu! Watch the sunset along the tip of Estero Island, dance under the stars and just have a really great time! Door prizes throughout the night! SUNDAY, JUNE 27, 2010 - GOOD BYE PARTY - BUT FIRST BREAKFAST! CLHS Class of '79 & '80 can enjoy a sit down breakfast wherever they choose before events on the beach begins!
