| About | Jason Hyatt Obituary Jason Roland Hyatt, 53, died on December 30, 2025, one day shy of his 54th birthday. Born on December 31, 1971, Jason was raised in Southern California, where his quick wit and ability to connect through conversation were evident from an early age. In 2000, Jason moved to Michigan after meeting the love of his life, Trisha. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two daughters, Lauren and Ella, who were the center of Jason’s world. He was a fiercely proud “girl dad” who believed deeply in his daughters and never missed a chance to remind them that they could take on the world. Jason was involved in every chapter of their lives. Whether coaching basketball and softball, cheering them on at dance competitions and recitals, skateboarding, or simply showing up again and again, he was always there—present, engaged, and proud. Jason had a creative and hardworking spirit. He loved golf and woodworking, spending countless hours creating handmade pieces for his wife and family. From pens to planter boxes and, most recently, a nightstand, he took great pride in working with his hands and building things meant to be used, loved, and kept close. Jason loved Star Wars, enjoyed striking up conversations with just about anyone, and had a gift for making people feel comfortable and heard. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Jason died peacefully following complications from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) and will be deeply missed by his family and all who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Trisha; his daughters, Lauren and Ella; his mother, Susan; his sister, Jill; and his brother, Michael. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jason’s memory to the CJD Foundation Annual Fund at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/cjdfoundation_ptp/donate. |
