About	Alan lost his year long battle with glioblastoma on August 2nd, 2021. In his earlier years he was an avid surfer, played basketball and volleyball for fun, and we raised children together. In midlife he joined a band, which got together several times a week to play, from the mid 90s until September of 2020. While undergoing cancer treatments we spent what time we had left together taking weekend trips, exploring the Eastern Sierra, and visiting with friends and family, doing little things around the house, and staying strong. Losing my husband of 4 decades was the same as losing much of myself. We shared a lifetime of memories together. Love and light, Sue Buffington
