About	Martin L. Newlin was born on February 29, 1960 in Concordia, Kansas to Oscar "Flash" and Gaye Sanders Newlin. He passed from this life on Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Concordia, Kansas at the age of 48. He graduated from Concordia High School. He worked for Schendel Pest Control for 24 years, becoming the co-owner and operator about year in half ago. He was an avid local racer with Team FLASCAR Racing. In 2007, he was the IMCA Stock Car Track champion. He also enjoyed hunting. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his sons, Derek Newlin and wife Paula, Downs, KS and Dustin Newlin and girlfriend Casey, Emporia, KS; his mother, Gaye Newlin, Concordia, KS; brothers, Mark Newlin, Concordia, KS and Lance Newlin, Concordia, KS; sister, Lisa Partridge and husband John, Hinkley, CA and grandmother, Eva Sanders, Concordia, KS. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar "Flash Newlin. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, KS with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. The body was cremated but friends may sign the register book from 9 AM to 6 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will follow the memorial service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Martin Newlin Scholarship.
