Class of 1966
Marine Corps, 20+ Years

Served 24 1/2 years of which five were in the enlisted ranks followed thereafter by 19 1/2 years as a commissioned officer. I served in the Signals Intelligence/Ground Electronic Warfare occupational field as a MOS 2602 and also qualified as a Combat Intelligence Officer or MOS 0202. Our tours of duty took us overseas to Okinawa, Korea, Taiwain, and stateside in California, Florida, and Washington, D.C. I had the opportunity to participate in numerous joint staff positions at Joint Special Operations Center (JSOC), U.S. Central and Special Operations Commands in Tampa, Florida, and completed by military service performing duties as Senior Intelligence Director at NORAD-U.S. Space Command in Colorado Springs, CO. My service in the Marine Corps like most of us who served during this period of time took us away from our families for extended periods of time. In that light, any successes or personal commendations I received while serving in my Corps can be attributed to the exceptional support I received from my wife and family. I can't tell you how many times I was called away from home on a moments notice to support quick reactionary force operations, yet I knew my wife Nancy had full control of any, or all, family matters in my absence. She's been my hero for the last 44 years!! God Bless Her!
