I joined the Air Force about a year after graduating from Hickman. Dale Cook and I had planned to join together and go through Boot Camp together. Dale's mom became sick so it was solo for me. The USAF trained me as a powerline electrician and I served a tour of duty in Bien Hua Vietnam.
