James was living in California and died way too young. Such a great guy.
Michael Dipietro '66 said:
“Jimmy Santer” was a kind and quiet fellow, wouldn’t hurt a fly.
I think he had a handicapped younger brother, perhaps with trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome).
Jimmy took to playing violin at Maywood (4th grade under Ms Wolf) along with Debbie Filkins on violin and Billy Hill on cello.
In 1980s there was a music reunion at CCHS and I only learned that Jim was playing violin while I played bassoon after it was over.
It was good to see that he was still playing violin, but sadly I didn’t notice him.
I would have said hello.
As I have written many times, we live as long as we are remembered.
Here’s to remembering Jim Santer, kind fellow.
