About	Dennis A. Morrissey May 15, 1951 — November 10, 2023 Albany Dennis Andrew Morrissey of Albany passed away in the comfort of his own home on November 10th, 2023. He was 72. Son of the late Thomas Joseph and Marie Therese Gilbert Morrissey formerly of West Rutland Vermont and Albany New York. Dennis was a graduate of Colonie Central High School in Albany where he earned his diploma in 1970. He was an active member of the Line in Cue Drama and theater program in his high school years. Going on to further his educational career Dennis enrolled in Schenectady County Community College as a Police Science Major attending his under graduate program from 1970-1973. While attending college Dennis joined the Sigma Alpha Phi fraternity where he formed friendships and lifetime bonds with other members . Dennis completed his education at Nyack College earning his bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies. Dennis was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his free time building model airplanes. Dennis is survived by his partner Sally Jo Smith of Albany; his siblings Mary Ann T (Charles V) Prevendoski of West Rutland Vermont, and Daniel A. Morrissey of Wilmington North Carolina. In addition to his siblings Dennis is survived by his nieces and nephews Charles (Jessica), Timothy, Therese (Thomas) and Thomas (Sarah), and his great nieces and nephews Anthony, Logan, Damian, and Isaiah. A funeral service will be held for Dennis on Monday December 4th in the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC, 1855 12th Avenue Watervliet at 1pm. In lieu of flowers those wishing to remember Dennis is a special way may kindly consider a donation to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands NY.
