Class of 1967
Army, 20+ Years
Joined U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets) in 1968, trained as an engineer/demolitions sergeant on an SF A-team. After two years of training, I was operational for 13 months in Berlin, Germany in a SF unit that had an intelligence role. After a 9 year break in service, I rejoined Special Forces in the Army Reserve in 1980 which I stayed with for the next 20 years in parallel with civilian work. I trained in different parts of the world including U.K., Norway, Germany, and Panama. During my service, I was regretably never activated during a "hot" war.
