James Oscar “Beau” Wilson, age 60, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at his residence. A native of Asheville, he was born on August 13, 1965, to Nancy Joan Oliver Wilson and the late Oscar Eugene Wilson.
Beau was a graduate of Erwin High School and spent his professional career as a pipe fitter in the construction industry. In addition to his father, Beau was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Wilson; his sister, Kim Osborne; and his son, Daryl Robertson.
He is survived by his partner, Jeana Ferguson; his sons, Samuel Robert James Ferguson Michael Tyler Ferguson and Matthew Turbyfill; and his brother, Joey Wilson (Judy). He is also survived by a large extended family, including his nephews: Chris Osbourne, Dallas Guy, and John John; and his nieces: Daphne Wilson, Laura Wilson, Beth Bennet, Brooklyn Turbyfill, Abby Bennet, Emmy Bennet, Paisley Wilson, and Wreenle Shelton.
Beau will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
