| About | It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Wyatt, who departed this life on April 29, 2025, to be reunited in heaven with his beloved parents and brother. Born on July 4, 1961, Bob lived a life marked by humor, warmth, and an unparalleled gift for storytelling. His tall tales and quick wit could captivate any room and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Bob leaves behind a devoted and loving family who cherished him deeply. He is survived by his wife of more than four decades, Tammy Wyatt. Married in 1980, their partnership was a beautiful testament to enduring love and mutual respect. He will be profoundly missed by his children, Amy Wyatt Nowak (Tim) and Justin Wyatt (Ruth), whose accomplishments brought him great pride and joy. One of Bob’s greatest joys was being a grandfather. He adored his granddaughter, Ariana Nowak, and his grandson, Aaron Ferrell, whom he embraced as his own. They were the light of his life and the center of his heart. Bob is also survived by his supportive sister, Trish Wyatt, with whom he shared countless memories and milestones. Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A passionate NASCAR fan, he never missed a race, and he was famously devoted to his Diet Dr Pepper — a favorite that became a part of his signature charm. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Wyatt; his father, Robert B. Wyatt; and his brother, Michael Wyatt. The loss of these loved ones weighed heavily on his heart, and we take comfort in knowing they are joyfully reunited. In honor of Bob’s commitment to family and education, a college fund has been established for his granddaughter, Ariana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at: https://everloved.com/life-of/robert-wyatt/donate Bob's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched. His infectious laughter, love of family, and ability to find humor in every corner of life will remain in our hearts forever. The family has entrusted cremation services to Asheville Alternative. Bob’s compassion continues in death, as he was selected for organ and tissue donation through UNC Chapel Hill. His pacemaker/defibrillator will be donated to My Heart Is Your Heart, a nonprofit organization that provides life-saving devices to those in need around the world. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 10th at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Asheville, NC, with Rev. Ronnie Owen officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 1:30 p.m. After the service, all are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments with Tammy at Bear Mountain Health & Rehab in the dining hall. |
