About	Eddie Gene Ramsey, 28, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, unexpectedly at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a 2016 graduate of Erwin High School. Eddie owned and operated Ramsey Waste Services. Eddie was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ed Smith, and paternal grandfather, Jerry Ramsey. Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancée, Katlyn Moore; children: Elijah Ramsey, and Everleigh Ramsey; parents: Pete Ramsey and Chrysaundra Lee Smith Ramsey; maternal grandmother, Lynn Jackson Martin; paternal grandmother, Deborah Mendoza; siblings: Erika Ramsey, Joshua Ramsey, Cameron Ramsey, and Brittany Ramsey; nieces and nephews: McKenna, Cooper, Mikaela, Maelyn, Braiden, and Madisyn; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Ramsey Family Cemetery, 12 Ramona Drive, Leicester, NC 28748, with Darrel Woody officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM on Sunday prior to the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the family to help with funeral expenses, care of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806.
