About	David Ferguson McFee, age 76, of Asheville died Sunday, April 6, 2025. David was born May 13, 1948, in Buncombe County to the late George Lee McFee and Jean Ramsey McFee Kiser. He graduated from Erwin High School and Mars Hill University. David taught school and coached football and wrestling at Owen High School and Madison High School. He was the announcer at North Buncombe football games for a decade. After a career in teaching, he sold cars at Deal Buick, Matthews Ford, Dorato Motors and Harry’s on the Hill before opening Quality Motors in 1992. David loved gardening and sharing the bounty of that garden with family, friends and neighbors. Surviving is his wife of 54 years, JoNeil Ramsey McFee; daughter, Amanda Nisbeth and husband Ben; son, Greg McFee and wife Lorie; brother, Malcolm McFee; and grandchildren, Annie McFee, Lilly McFee, Landon Queen, Henry Nisbeth and Tell Nisbeth. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2025, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. Reverend Clark Henderson will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service.
