Bruce Lee Morgan, 90, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Mission Health Hospice after a brief illness.
Born April 27, 1934, in Buncombe County, he was a son to the late Jesse Wade Morgan, Sr., and Fleecie Omalee Hawkins Morgan. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Elizabeth Morgan; brothers, J.W. Morgan, Jr., Max Luther Morgan; and sisters, Shirley Jean Morgan Gardner, Virginia Joan Rash Deas, and Mary Irene Rash Roberts.
Bruce was a faithful lifelong member and former Deacon of Corinth Baptist Church. He graduated from Clyde A. Erwin High School and retired from Dave Steel in Asheville as Shop Superintendent.
He is survived by his son, Neal Morgan, of Leicester; sister, Martha Belle Rash Liner (Ron), of Pinehurst, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joint services for Bruce and his sister Shirley who passed away on October 3, 2024, will be held at a later date.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave is assisting the family.
