About	Asheville – Doris Elaine Kilpatrick Redmon, 86, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. A native of Buncombe County Elaine had a love for Christ, converted at the age of 8 at Mt. Carmel Church and baptized in the outside pool near West Buncombe School. Elaine graduated from Erwin High School in 1956 as valedictorian. After marriage Elaine attended Victory Baptist Church where she taught the gospel to 6 to8 year-olds and was an avid student of the Bible. Elaine was active throughout her life working in the medical field at Highland Hospital in Asheville, Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta GA and Asheville Psychiatric Associates. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents Teddy Hampton Kilpatrick, and Margaret Ruth Stillwell Kilpatrick. Surviving Elaine are her husband of 68 years Kenneth Ray Redmon; son Keith Redmon, and sister Mary Frances Carter. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Monday May 13, 2024, at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. Keith Sergeant, and Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. Pallbearers will be Tom Rhodes, Rodney Beck, David Beck, Mike Renison, and James Redmon In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to Victory Baptist Church 80 Olivette Rd. Asheville, NC 28804 food program. Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to serve the Redmon family.
