About	Candler – John Custer Perry, Jr. “Johnny”, 59, passed suddenly on Monday, April 17, 2023, while enjoying and caring for his beautiful property in Candler. Johnny was born on December 25, 1963 to John “Custer” Perry, Sr. and Ruth Knight Perry in Asheville. Although Johnny was a longtime carpenter by trade, he was capable of so much more and was known by all as a “jack of all trades”. In addition to caring for his property, he loved his family and enjoyed playing music, being outdoors, and fishing. He was always caring and selfless and was an amazing father, brother, and friend who will be missed by all. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Sydney Perry Imel and husband Satyam; mother of his daughter and best-friend, Karen Perry; loving sisters: Janet Perry, twin sister, Jacqui Perry and husband Larry Hall, Kimberly Ruff and husband Joel, Cindy Harris and husband Doug, Arlene Guise, and Darlene Jones and husband Bruce; and by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 5 till 7 pm at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. A private celebration of Johnny’s life will be held at a later date. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is honored to serve the Perry family.
