About	David Eugene Hollifield, 86, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at his residence. A native of Buncombe County, he worked at Enka Plant for 20 years, retired from Sayles Bleachery, and following retirement, he got the craft for landscaping from his son-in-law, Lewis, and then went on his own as a Landscaper. He enjoyed the outdoors, doing ceramics and was an odds & ends collector. He graduated from Erwin High School, was a member of Asheville Baptist Church where he became a Mason. Mr. Hollifield was a son of the late Atlas and Nellie Hollifield. He was married to Linda A. Walker for 20 years who passed May 24, 2004 and they had three children, David D. Hollifield and wife Linda, Daniel E. Hollifield and gf, Kathy and Diana L.H. Beam and husband Lewis. He is also survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Ann; grandchildren, William Hollifield, Heather Solly and husband, CJ, Ashley Bassett and husband, Brent, Craig Beam and wife, Shannon and Corey Beam and gf, Amanda; great grandchildren, Peyton Solly, Jamie Beam, Jenny Beam and Lewis Craig Beam. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Todd from Fairview Baptist Church officiating.
