About	ALEXANDER – William Ray Foster, age 55, of Alexander, died Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Mr. Foster was born December 21, 1965, in Buncombe County to John Harold Foster, Sr. and the late Marjorie “Margie” Parham Foster; he was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He worked at the Leicester Ingles Market for over 34 years before he retired in 2015. William attended Carolina Baptist Tabernacle. He loved the Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Reds, and the Carolina Tarheels. Surviving in addition to his father are his brothers, Johnny Foster, Jr. and wife Karen, Kenneth Foster and wife Margaret, and Randy Foster and wife LeAnn; nieces and nephews, John Foster III, Karenda, Jordan, Katarra, Hannah, Emily, Samantha, Sandan and Matthew Foster, Jr; great nephew, Kyson Foster; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Alexander. Reverends Lanny Cobb, Kellen Griffin and Glenn Meadows will officiate. Burial will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in West Funeral Home, Weaverville. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Carolina Baptist Tabernacle 114 Murphy Hill Road, Weaverville, NC 28787.
