About	Robert "DeWayne" Pounders passed away on March 14, 2007. DeWayne was an Eagle Scout with Troop 138 and a 1981 graduate of Erwin High School. He also graduated from AB Tech in 1982 with a degree in diesel mechanics. He had formerly been employed with Silverline Plastics and was a block and brick mason with Adams Collins Builders. He was survived by his parents, Robert and Anita Dase Pounders; brother, Allen Pounders and wife, Brenda; sister, Renee Pounders Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his companion of ten years and her two children. DeWayne's graveside service was held at West Memorial Park. West Funeral Home (Weaverville, NC)
