About	Chris Duane Rhodarmer, October 16, 1962 - February 18, 1980 Chris would have graduated in the Erwin High Class of 1981. This was written as a tribute to Chris in the 1980 Erwin yearbook: Chris was a responsible, dependable young man who tackled every task given him with enthusiasm and diligence. Chris exhibited unselfishness by volunteering for many extra duties and spending much of his spare time working with his peers and instructors to improve the JROTC program of which he was so very much a part. Chris was a member of the Color Guard and Drill Team, which earned him the right to wear the red and white shoulder cords. He was awarded thirteen ribbons and badges, which include perfect attendance, personal appearance, commendation, and good conduct. He also qualified as a sharpshooter in the Rifle Marksmanship Program, at the first summer camp in Indiantown Gap, PA. Chris was very active in the Futures Farmers of America and other student activities at Erwin High School. His loyalty to what is right earned him the respect and love of his teachers alike. Cadet Captain Chris Rhodarmer was a definite asset to the JROTC program at Clyde A. Erwin High School, and Chris will be sorrowfully missed by fellow cadets, as well as his instructors. Chris was from the Newfound Community in Leicester, NC. He had a motorbike wreck.
