About	Jonathan Paul Willis, 51, of Asheville, passed away June 19, 2017 at Charles George VA Medical Center Valor Hospice. Born September 18, 1965 in Mecklenburg County, Mr. Willis was born to Paul Willis, Jr. and Maleta Moore Dickerson. Mr. Willis was a graduate of Erwin High School, and served in the United States Army. He was an avid Tarheel fan, NY Yankee Fan, and loved music. Most of all, he loved his daughter, Carlee. Survivors include his daughter, Carlee Willis of Leicester; brothers, Paul Willis and his fiancée, Michelle Ramsey of Candler and Monty Willis, sister, Terrie Willis- Corbett; grandmother, Meanor Moore of Asheville; great-aunt, Wigwee Ballard of Knoxville, TN; aunt, Joy Roland and her daughters, Jennifer Hughes and Kimberly Roland-Waters; nephew, Cameron Willis; nieces, Mackenzie and Jacquelyn Willis; special friend, Amanda Gassaway-Rigsby; loving cousins from Tennessee, Pat, Anita, Penny, and Tia; and other extended family along with so many friends that are like family who loved him dearly. All friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation that is being held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM July 1, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 200 Mt. Carmel Road, Asheville, NC 28806. A private service will be held at a later date at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Jeffrey Hudson and Craig Roberts officiating.
