About | Worth Frady, 95, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital. Mr. Frady was a native of Rutherford County, NC and the son of George Madison Frady and Mamie Marlow Frady. Worth graduated from Rutherford-Spindale High School and Appalachian State University with a bachelor and masters degree in science and education. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in WWII and was a member of Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church. He taught Science at Mill Spring High School in Polk County and Clyde A. Erwin High School in Asheville. He is survived by his wife, Elfreta McBrayer Frady; two nephews, Darrell Crotts and wife, Sue of Virginia and Douglas Crotts and wife, Beverly of Virginia and a niece, Carolyn Lammons and husband, Jim of Florida. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Stacey Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherfordton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church, 646 Concord Road, Fletcher, NC 28732. |

I LOVED MR. FRADYS CLASSES. I LIKED HIS BIOLOGY CLASS SO MUCH IS WHY I TOOK ADVANCED BIOLOGY AS AN ELECTIVE.AND THAT WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING, AFTER GRADUATION I GOT A BA IN PSCHOLOGY AT UNC-A AND AN ASSOCIATE IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE IN 1982. I'VE BEEN A NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST FOR 40 YEARS AND IT ALL STARTED IN HIS CLASS.
