About Terica Kay Edwards Duncan, 55, of Asheville, died Sunday, May 15, 2016. A native of Asheville, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Peggy Edwards. She was raised by her uncle, the Rev. Larry Edwards and wife Loraine. Terica enjoyed reading, crochet, and traveling. She was involved in Southern gospel music in her youth and adulthood. She participated in church choirs by using her God given gift of piano playing and singing praises to her Lord. She was a member of the New Praise gospel group, who toured various churches. Terica dearly loved her daughter and all members of her family with unconditional love. She is survived by her devoted husband of fifteen years, Paul Lee Duncan, II "Champ"; daughter, Brittany Brinkley; stepchildren, Temperance Duncan-Robbins, Paul L. Duncan, III, and Mary Duncan-Fuller; grandchildren, Brandon, Hunter, Camryn, Trinity, Kaelyn, Twylite, Noble, and Aidan; sisters, Tracy Brown and Heather Welch; brother, Danny Edwards; mother-in-law, Lucille H. Duncan; and nieces and nephews Emily, Justin, Carolann, Christine, and Catherine. She lived her life to the definition of I Corinithians 13:13, "The greatest of these is love", which was shown to her daily by her loving, unwavering husband. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clark Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity in Terica's honor. You will forever be missed, but never, ever forgotten.
