Events	BENKER, Alison Louise 1960 - 2023 Our dear sister, Alison L. Benker, passed from this life on September 19. She was 62 years old and died from a stroke. Alison graduated from Clarence High School, lived in Lockport, but moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1998. However, she always said that she wanted to go back "home" to Lockport. She finally moved back to New York this past January. She wanted to see snow again. No more palm trees. Back to Bills Country. She loved dogs. Her good buddy, Buddy, died last year and broke her heart. Alison was funny. Always looking at the bright side of life. Alison was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan. She also was a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Ray Vaughan. She loved Christmas. She had a small decorated tree in her bedroom year-round. For much of her career, she worked in the legal field-both in Lockport and Florida-as a clerk or paralegal for several offices. Her last position was with the State of Florida, Office of Child and Family Services. Our parents have preceded her in death. Surviving family includes Susan Robison (Brian), Karen Benker, Christopher Benker (Shari) and one nephew, Julian Robison, along with several aunts and cousins and many friends. A Celebration of Life for Alison will be this coming Spring.
