| Events | Born in Brooklyn NY on May 19th, 1924. He was the son of the late Walter I. and Corinne Gilbourne Stillwell and a descendant of Nicholas Stillwell one of the original founders of the Long Island area. Mr. Stillwell was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and fought at the Battle of the Bridge at Remagen in Germany. He attended Brooklyn College and received his Bachlors and Masters Degrees in Mathematics and Science from Teachers College, Columbia University. He taught Mathematics at Clarence Central High School for 38 years and chaired the Mathematics Deptartment. He served as President and Treasurer of the Associalion of Math Teachers of N.Y. State. Robert was a Dachshund fancier and served the Dachshund Club of Greater Buffalo as Treasurer, and specialty show chair for many years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years June Ulrich Stillwell, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and three delightfull Dachshunds. The Family will be present on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME INC 5200 Sheridan Dr. (corner of Hopkins Rd.) where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Friends Invited. Interment in Williamsville Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Dachshund Club of Greater Buffalo. |
