Entered active duty on 26 Jul 1978 and served for 21 years until 1 Sep 1999. I retired at the rank of E7, MSgt. Along the way I learned many skills (besides floor mopping) such as Telephone Data Equipment Technician in the 89th Military Airlift Wing (Presidential Communications), Autopilot/Instrument/Navigation Systems onboard the KC-10A Extender aircraft and finally Computer Programming at the United States Air Force Standard Systems Center. I also managed to get two Associate degrees along the path in Electronics and Communications. Lastly, I finally got my Bachelor Degree in Computer Science only 1 month before I retired (Whew!). My assignments include:
