Age 62, Elizabeth City, NC died at Sentara Norfolk Hospital. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas David and Helen Gardocki David and the husband of Betty Lou Ali David. He was a retired Ordnance Technician from the Department of Defense having worked in Washington, DC and Hertford, NC. He was a Catholic. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Danielle David Layton and husband Tom of Springfield, VA, and Rebecca David Jolley and husband Charles of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Loretta David Hogue and Maralyn David Kopach both of PA; a brother Timothy David of PA; and a grandson A. J. Layton.
