Paul died in Tijuana, Mexico. He was 62 years old. He graduated from Chartiers Valley High School and Parkway West Technical School. In 1975, he joined the Navy. After 22 years of service, he was discharged with the rank of chief petty officer. He lived and worked in San Diego for a number of years, during which time his wife, Debra Clark of Bethel Park died. Recently, Paul moved to Tijuana, Mexico, and lived with his daughter, Heather Hormel, and five grandchildren, who survive. He is survived by his parents, Fred and Ila Hormel of Collier; sisters, Mary Ann Smith (Kim) of Scott, Esther Magdish of Collier, and Susan Baghough (Lhassane) of Brockton, MA; also surviving are brothers, Norman Hormel (Elaine) of Collier, David Hormel and William Hormel, at home. A brother, Donald, died in 1984. Paul was cremated and burial will be at sea conducted by the Navy.
