David died suddenly at age 31 leaving his beloved wife, Cindy Gillespie Gruden. They were married just a little over 3 years. Beloved son of William & Frances Gruden and brother of Jean Marie Yocius and William Gruden. David loved all animals and even had a pet raccoon at one time. He was also a fan of car racing, hockey, wrestling, and he and Cindy liked to go fishing.

(David's parents have since passed on and also, his brother William, died in 1993.)
