Age 27. Wayne passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning at a hunting camp in Crawford County. He was the beloved son of the late Marie and Robert Hofrichter; brother of Lori Emery and Robert Hofrichter. Wayne's friend, Jeff Davis, (class of 1978), also died. They are buried next to each other at Melrose Cemetery.
