Melanie Lizabeth Smith, 53, entered into rest on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at her residence. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in both Georgia and Pennsylvania. Details will be announced and coordinated by her daughter, Adeline Smith, and her son, Ethan Smith. Mrs. Smith, beloved daughter of the late Stanley Lacek Sr. and the late Mary Ann (Pruss) Lacek, was born in Heidelberg, PA. She had a passion for traveling, enjoyed playing bingo, and found her greatest joy in supporting and sharing in the interests and passions of her children. Mrs. Smith is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Bradley L. Smith, her children, Ethan S. Smith, Adeline R. Smith; her siblings, Stanley L. Lacek Jr. (Tammi), Heather Polenik (Michael), Mary Ellen Wall (Brad); her cherished dog, Cooper. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, her “adopted kids”, and her softball family, all of whom she loved deeply.
