He leaves his wife, Susan Winstel, children, Rachel (Greg) Bucki, grandchildren, Allison and Samantha, sister Pam (Tom) Frank, Laura (Dave) Miller, and the late Sandra Callan, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Ned was a loving husband, father, grandfather, devoted Steelers fan, passionate Harley Davidson motorcycle rider, and friend to everyone who came into his lifeInterment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Bring your Terrible Towels and send our beloved Ned off in style. “Here we Go!”

My name is Dave Phillips. I grew up in “Birdland” on Meadowlark Dr, just “around the corner” from the Winstels. Ned and I were close friends at that time (circa 1960-63?) His dad was the coach of our baseball team. I can’t recall how we lost touch with each other but I remember Ned fondly. I’m sad to hear of his passing.
