Born February 29, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA (Scott Township). Died March 19, 2020 in Leesburg, VA. Father of Richard A. Strauss (Tory Strauss) and Daniel L. Strauss; grandfather of Lindsey; Brother of Jacqueline Boyle and Jeanne (Ray) Pasi; uncle to several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen Strauss (neé Kinney) and Louis Strauss; his sister, Helen Clare Piper; niece,Cami Lynn Piper; and nephew, Phillip Patrick Boyle.
