| About Me | "BIENVENIDOS, PEOPLE!!!" Hey ya'll! Glad to meet and greet all my new facebook peeps! Hope you are all healthy, happy, and full! Don't forget to hug the ones you love today! :) "Laban!" ("Peace!" in Philippine speak) First, the basics- I'm married to a wonderful and loving husband and have one bright and beautiful child. Being a mother has been the best and hardest job yet! :) With a 14-year background in the healthcare setting, I currently work as an ultrasound technologist (R.D.M.S. - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and no it's not as easy as just snapping some pictures inside the human body. I have hopes to continue further in the medical field and am currently scoping out my next educational prospect. I am a multilayered, interesting, unique person... Caring, Hardworking, Ambitious, Remarkable, Loving, Youthful, and kNowledgable (Get It? - C.H.A.R.L.Y.N.) not to mention somewhat neurotic and quirky- just ask my younger siblings and those who know me best. I may be a little obnoxious, but with the tendencies of a first born, eldest child, I will always look out for and protect my friends and family. Also being a Philippine-American, I am very familial and very typically "well-to-do" and then some. Sometimes my brain gets so far ahead of me, it's a challenge to keep up...In order to keep up with my brain and my growing daughter, I recently took up running and am in the process of training for my first half marathon :) Also, I'm very compassionate and tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and often times have trouble shaking my "martyr" complex...I consider myself an evolving work-in-progress as well as an instrument of peace in the world in so much as the Lord wills me to be and feel that my overall purpose is to effect as much positive change in the world as I can...My motto is "All Good Change in the World Comes from Within" and my mantra is "The only obligation we have in this life is to be true to ourself" And if you couldn't tell, I'm also long-winded...anyway, thanks for reading...I look forward to sharing "my space" on facebook with you... the one...the only...CAM :) "HAVE YOU HUGGED THE ONES YOU LOVE TODAY?!!!"
