In Loving Memory of Joseph David Kaufman
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph David Kaufman, who passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2024, at the age of 66.
Joseph, fondly known as "Joe" to his family and friends, was born on June 18, 1957, and grew up in Charlevoix, Michigan.
Joe’s commitment to education led him to pursue a Juris Doctor degree at Marquette University Law School, from which he graduated in 1982. His passion for learning continued to be a hallmark of his character. After graduating, he embarked on a fulfilling career as an attorney, where his dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on both colleagues and mentees.
Joe had a passion for running. He ran numerous marathons, including the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching the Packers, listening to country music, and watching classic movies such as Dirty Dancing and Top Gun. He also loved visiting his beautiful hometown of Charlevoix, Michigan.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who loved him.
