About	Trumansburg: John E. Moore, of Trumansburg, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at the age of 67. Born on February 26, 1944 in Mineola, NY John was the son of the late Harry and Kathleen (Smith) Moore of Trumansburg. He graduated from Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg in 1962 and Doane College in 1970. He worked for Cornell University in Olin Library, Sage Infirmary, the Campus Store and the warehouse. John enjoyed fishing, golfing, writing poetry and stories and target shooting. On John's 34th birthday, he married the love of his life, Jan Cook. Together, they made their home first in Watkins Glen and then in Trumansburg, a haven for cats and dogs. John's kindness, knowledge and gentle disposition will be missed by his family and companions. John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jan Cook-Moore of Trumansburg; brothers, Hank (Linda) Moore of Watkins Glen and Dan (Diana) Moore of Liverpool; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a nephew, Harry Moore IV. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 11 am at Searsburg Church, Searsburg Road, Trumansburg.
