Enlisted before graduation. Went to boot camp Jan 77. Spent 3 years on the USS Guadalcanal LPH-7, then 3 years in the Pentagon for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Left active duty and spent 17 years in the Reserves. Retired in 2004 as an Information Technology Specialist Chief Petty Office.

Played lead trombone in the 83rd Army Band based in Straubing, Germany from 1960-1962. The band was attached to the 11th Armored Cavalry which was guarding Czech border. Prior to that was signed to the 8th Ordnance Company also based at the 11th Armored Cav Regimental Hdq in Straubing.

Our Charleroi Area High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Charleroi Area High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
