Mr. Anthony Wayne Metz, 59, of Pratt Court, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 in Falling Spring Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA. Born March 26, 1959 in Chambersburg, he was the son of David D., Sr. & Catherine L. (Helmuth) Metz of Chambersburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion of 29 years, Diane Shaffer of Waynesboro; son, Michael Metz of Waynesboro; sister, Carla M. (Metz) Avey and her husband, Steve of Waynesboro; brothers, David D. Metz, Jr. and his wife, Tracey R. (Conner) of Shippensburg, PA; and niece, Alysha Hardman of Waynesboro.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro with the Rev. Dr. Ken Mills and Mr. Dave Besecker officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Tuesday, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Grane Hospice, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass, Suite 205, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
