About Me I married my best friend Brian on 8/18/2007. He is funny and silly and sweet and brilliant and handsome and really all I ever hoped for when I was a little girl. I'm so glad we found each other. I am the mom of 3 incredible kids. Kaleb is 23, Rachel is 20 and Kara is 15. They are the light, joy and loves of my life. Being a mom is the absolutely most important thing I ever have done or will do. There is **nothing else** that I take as much pride in, as knowing my children are loved beyond anything they will ever be able to imagine. Kaleb works for Alpine Access as a specialist for Microsoft XBox. He excels in the sciences and math -- and in arguing with his mom and anyone else who happens to disagree with him. He reminds me so much of my brother, Erik, in personality. He has a razor sharp wit, and a very tender heart for his little sisters. He is very athletic, a runner and a black diamond snowboarder. Rachel is a sophomore at the University of Colorado/Denver for 2013/2014, majoring in Chemistry. She's been taking snowboarding lessons since she was 11 and now can keep up with her big brother on the black diamonds. Rachel was is the Arts Editor for her H.S. newspaper, The Eagle Quill. She also works as a Lifeguard during the summers for Front Range Recreation. Rach is a true, loyal friend and in return, has a few very loyal friends. Kara, my baby, is -- well. The baby (16 & 10th grade). I have trouble thinking of her as older than 3! She is totally my "mini me" -- not so much in looks (she looks more like her daddy) but definitely in personality. She is outgoing, vibrant, bubbly, she talks too much in school, she is a helper, she has a fiery, fiery temper and a soft, gentle, caring heart. She loves to ride her bike, boogie board (when we at the beach), and play Lacrosse. I'm very passionate about social issues, specifically helping those who have deep economic, physical and spiritual needs. Christianity is not a "Club" and we need to be doing whatever we can do bring everyone we can, into the Kingdom. I think that God wants us to be funny and humorous, happy and loving, kind, compassionate, silly, thoughtful, generous, and that He definitely does not want us to take OURSELVES too seriously. I am learning more and more every day how to trust God. I'm in awe of His mer...(read more)
