After high school, I attended Alabama State University were I majored in Biology Education. I have been in the military for seven years. I attended BCT (Basic Combat Training) in Fort Benning, Georgia in 2003. After completing Basic Training I moved on to Fort Sam Houston, Texas where I did my AIT (Advanced Individual Training) as an Health Care Specialist (Combat Medic). My first duty station was at Fort Carson, Colorado in the 3rd ACR (Armor Cavalry Regiment) where I served two years. In March of 2005 I deployed to Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom until my unit’s return in February of 2006. In July of 2006 I was assigned to the 14th CSH and 690th Medical Company. June 2008 I am assigned to 590th Medical Company (GA), Camp Stanley. In July 2009 I was assigned to United States Army Medical Institute of Infectious Diseases (UASMRIID), Fort Detrick, MD were I am Ops NCO.
