Kathy was such a sweet soul and terrific flute player. Her mom was a librarian at the Center Line public library. Kathy, Len Babbish and I had some fun times practicing trios for solo and ensemble festivals. One day the three of us got locked in a practice room in the band room at Wolfe Jr. High. What a hoot!! It was a Friday afternoon and who knows how long we would have been locked there; but with some ingenuity, we attracted the attention of a custodian and were rescued!!! When I attended Interlochen All State camp, her family met up with me and brought me back home because they were camping up at Interlochen the same time I was attending camp. Sorry to hear that she has passed.
