BIRTHDAY BASH ATTENDEES
If you have purchased your tickets for the Birthday Bash to be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Matthew’s 1600, please know that we are excited to see you and to celebrate our seventies with the Catonsville Classes from the early 1970’s.
Instead of exchanging birthday gifts, we have decided to give back to the community that has done so much for us. The Catonsville Emergency Assistance (CEA)Truck will be on the parking lot of Matthews 1600 during the event. Please bring a cash donation or items to show your appreciation for our giving community.
The donations desperately needed by CEA include boxes of cereal, jelly, dry soups (Ramen/Nissen/Lipton), rice (small boxes or bags), baking mixes (cake/brownie/muffin/pancake), oatmeal, canned meals (Chef Boyardee/canned stew/canned chili), spaghetti sauce, pasta, and pasta/rice side dishes (Knorr/Lipton/Rice-a-Roni).
Please contact Dria Beal Trimble at driatrimble@icloud.com if you have any further questions.
We look forward to seeing you at the Birthday Bash!
Your Class of 1972 Birthday Bash Committee- Dria, Laurie, Patti, Chris, Brian & Rick.

COULD I PLEASE ASK FOR SOMEONES HELP OUT THERE? IT SEEMS I’VE RAN INTO A PROBLEM CONCERNING MY ANCESTRY! I RECENTLY FOUND OUT MY FOREFATHER WAS CHARLES SHIPLEY BORN 1854 IN BALTIMORE, MARYLAND. HE WAS A REAL-ESTATE BROKER BY TRADE AND ALSO A DEVELOPER AND CO-FOUNDER OF THURMONT, MARYLAND. HOWEVER I’VE BEEN INFORMED BY A HISTORIAN SEEKING A PHOTOGRAPH OF HIM AN ABSOLUTE TO NO AVAIL SITUATION. HE PREVIOUSLY OWNED THE HISTORIC MANSION OF SHIPLEY-LYDECKER HOUSE IN BALTIMORE, MARYLAND AND SOLD THE PROPERTY TO THE LYDECKER FAMILY BACK IN 1906 AND I SPOKE TO MR. LYDECKERS DAUGHTER WHO ONLY HAD A PHOTO OF HER FATHER RIDING A HORSE IN FRONT OF THE MANSION. CAN ANYONE BE OF ANY HELP WHATSOEVER IN THE WHOLE ORDEAL, AS IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! PLEASE CALL ME WITH ANY INFORMATION ON THE MATTER I HAVE WANTED TO SEE IF I FAVOR MY GREAT GRANDFATHER FOR YEARS NOW.
THANKS AGAIN (JAMES CONNELLY)
Be happy to tell you what I know in reference to Mr. Shipley in Thurmont, and perhaps you can lead me to an image so I can finally put a face to a name!
Most Sincerely,
Chris
