Got a "text" message from friend just last week that long-time CV resident & grad Rusty passed. He apparently slipped & hit his head on sink after a shower. Have known Rusty from CV Community Center, Chabot Elem., A.B., and CV high... Talk about a free-spirit... that was Rusty; good athlete, talker, and spent many years competing against him in fastpitch softball. He developed into one of the best, and hardest throwing pitchers in the NorCal area; was a hardworking plumber, and after working 30+ years retired from his business, and worked part-time a HomeDepot. I don't know all his family details, but know he was married with children. Was a kick to know and compete against. Memorial details have yet to be announced. Sorry to see you go Rusty,
