Overseas assignments included Berlin Brigade, Berlin Germany (during the Cold War), Field Station Sinop, Sinop, Turkey, prior to the first Iraqi War (1989 to 1990), Heidelberg, GE (worked for the United States Army Europe Commander and Chief (4-Star General); Fort Jackson, SC as a Drill Sergeant and also a Drill Sergeant for the only physical disability company in the United States Army; and ended my career as the Battalion Operations Sergeant for the 3-13th Infantry Battalion (Basic Training), Fort Jackson, SC. Awards include three Meritorious Service Ribbons, 5 Army Commendation Medals, 2 Army Achievement Medals, Army of Occupation Medal (BERLIN), National Defense Service Medal (Iraq and September 11), 7 Good Conduct Medals, 3 NCO Development Ribbons, and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge.
