I went to Ft Jackson for basic training, then to Ft Eustis for helicopter mechanic training, then to the 180th Avn Bn ASH in Schaewbisch Halle, while in Germany I was awarded the Air Medal for valor, (first known woman in the history of the Army to receive this award during peace time), I was a crew chief/mechanic on the CH-47 Chinook Helicopter, then back to Ft Eustis where I was an instructor and then PLT SGT. While at FT Eustis, I met and married my late husband of 30 years. I retired from all work in 1990.

Our Cascade High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Cascade High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Turner are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
