Leigh A. "Hartley" York, 50, of Oakland, TN., passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014. She fought a long courageous battle with cancer for the past 7 years. Mrs. York is survived by her loving husband Tim York, step-sons Brian York and Andy York (Ranee), siblings Mike Hartley (Ellen), Kathy Andersen (Robert), Lisa Nichols and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. York was a compassionate animal lover that enjoyed taking care of many different animals. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, February 4 from 12-2pm with the funeral starting at 2pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to either ASPCA or The American Cancer Society .
